The RCD triggers during the trip test, but no reading appears?

After the RCD has tripped, a check is made to ensure that the voltage has actually been disconnected.

If a load with an inductance is connected to an RCD, this inductance generates a reverse voltage when the RCD is switched off.

This reverse voltage is detected by the profit test and the test device cannot distinguish whether it is only an inductive reverse voltage or whether the voltage from the mains is still there. Therefore, no tripping time or tripping current is displayed. It is best to switch off all loads before performing a trip test.
